Let Me Tell You My Story...

"I have been here for a very long time.

Parts of me date back to the late 1800s, when life in the Lorca valley moved to the rhythm of the land. Much has changed since then, but look closely and you will still find my past everywhere — in my stonework, my traditional tiles, my old wooden details and the beautiful imperfections that only time can create.

My owners have cared for me gently. They restored me without trying to make me new.

And I rather like that.

Step inside and you will find two welcoming reception rooms. One still has my original fireplace; the other has a log burner and central heating for cooler winter evenings.

My dining room was made for people who don't hurry. For long dinners, another bottle opened at the table and conversations that continue long after the plates have been cleared.

And then there is my kitchen.

Rustic, unmistakably Spanish and perhaps one of my proudest features, with traditional tiled worktops and a beautiful double marble sink.

Upstairs, I have two generous double bedrooms and a spacious family bathroom with both a walk-in shower and a bath.

But I have another little surprise.

My independent guest annex has its own lounge, kitchenette, bedroom and an additional elevated sleeping area. Bring family. Invite friends. Or perhaps turn it into a charming little guest accommodation of your own.

Outside is where I truly breathe.

I sit on 20,000 m² of land, surrounded by mature Mediterranean planting, olive and almond trees and wide views across the countryside.

Walk through my old wooden doors into the courtyard. Find a shady corner beneath the trees. Pick your own olives. Or simply sit for a while and listen to something increasingly difficult to find.

Silence.

I face south, so sunshine is rarely in short supply.

And although I may feel wonderfully removed from the world, I am not isolated at all. Historic Lorca is only around eight minutes away.

I have been here for well over a century.

Perhaps now I am simply waiting for the next chapter.
